On the Chile-Argentina border, Mount Tupungato by Chile reaches an altitude of 6570m with the typical majesty of all volcanoes. This peak, which is quite wild and less coveted than others, offers countless possibilities to all those mountain climbers in search of beautiful challenges off the beaten tracks. By its normal route (dry) or by its southern face (glacier), this volcano offers a variety of views that make for eternal memories. The approach walks, as well as the climb itself, make Mount Tupungato (on the Chilean side) one of the most beautiful treks of the Central Mountain Range. All the ingredients of the great expeditions are present… As for the Aconcagua program, we recommend a previous acclimatization climb to Mount Plomo (5430m).
