This service is given in mass tents
with a capacity for 12-15 people, it works as a
restaurant.
The base camp has tents, chairs, tables and electrical
lighting.
They are at Plaza de
Mulas offering different services: the coordination
of the expeditions, receiving, sending and taking
care of the equipment that is transported by the
mules.
We have permanent communication with
Mendoza and Puente del Inca with BLU radios and
with height camps by VHF (Handy). If you have these
radios, the frequencies that are used here are between
142 Mhz and 150 Mhz.
The
park rangers frequency is 142800 Mhz.
It is an emergency service
used in cases of accute mountain sickness, pulmonary
edema and cerebral edema.
